Aluminum is typically hypoallergenic. It should not tarnish if properly cared for. Copper and brass will naturally tarnish due to contact with the air and skin. For all metals do not shower while wearing and avoid contact with sweat and products such as lotion. Do not store in the bathroom due to humidity. For best results, store in the muslin bag when not wearing. Tarnish may be removed by soaking the piece in vinegar for five to ten minutes (lettering may lighten over time) or purchasing a treated jewelry cloth.
